OUR STORY

Memory Tree was founded by three people united by a shared belief in the power of connection. Two of the founders had experienced firsthand the challenges of having a parent living with dementia. The third, a neurologist, saw a need for an easier way for her patients and their families to incorporate reminiscence therapy into everyday life.

Together, they created Memory Tree, a purpose-built platform that makes it easy for family and friends to share familiar photos, videos, voices, and memories with the people they love.

What began as a simple idea, helping families stay connected when connection can become more difficult, grew into a platform designed for everything from a small circle of loved ones to a larger network of family and friends.

Whether it’s a few favorite snapshots or a collection of memories that tells the story of a lifetime, Memory Tree brings familiar faces, voices, and moments together in one meaningful place, helping keep the people and experiences that matter most close, even when words may be difficult.

Because distance shouldn’t stand in the way of sharing meaningful moments.

FROM OUR FOUNDERS

Memory Tree was founded by three people who understand the need for meaningful connection.

We were deep in the COVID pandemic, our family was spread across different cities, and everyone kept asking, ‘How can we help?’ We wished there were a simple, safe way to share photos and videos and help our loved one feel surrounded by the people who cared.

David Wimberly, Founder

My mother was my stepfather’s caregiver, and I lived out of town. We noticed how much calmer he seemed when he could sit and enjoy familiar photos and videos. He loved seeing the faces of family and friends. Being able to hear their foices would have made those moments even more meaningful.

Audrey Robinson, Founder

Meghan K Harris, MD, Founder

I wanted a simple way for my patients to experience less stress and stay familiar with the faces and voices of the people they love for as long as possible. Reminiscence therapy can help create those meaningful moments of familiarity and comfort throughout the dementia journey.
